On April 28, Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province announced that it will officially launch the 'Life Photo Train Trip' with TravelSnap experts, targeting tourists from the Seoul metropolitan area.

The newly launched 'Jeongeup Life Photo TravelSnap & Gourmet One-Day Train Trip' (hereafter referred to as the Life Photo Train Trip) is a tourism product jointly planned by the city, Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL), and Haemil, a Jeonbuk-based travel agency led by CEO Oh Youngjin.

The itinerary begins at 8:20 a.m. at Yongsan Station in Seoul, where participants board the KTX to Jeongeup. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, after which a connecting vehicle will take them from Jeongeup Station to Naejangsan.

Participants will be able to learn and practice photography at major tourist attractions, including Uhwajeong in Naejangsan, which is famous as a filming location for the drama 'Lady Okssi.' TravelSnap professional instructors will teach the meaning of 'TravelSnap,' how to use mobile phone camera functions, and tips for taking great photos.

For lunch, participants can enjoy 'Pork Backbone Mushroom Soybean Stew,' a specialty dish of Naejangsan. This dish, created by star chef Lee Wonil, features Jeongeup pork, soybeans, mushrooms, and other fresh ingredients to deliver a rich and deep flavor unique to Jeongeup.

In the afternoon, the tour will visit Jeongeup's major attractions, including Museongseowon, a UNESCO World Heritage site; Kim Myungkwan Historic House, a traditional yangban residence; and the Donghak Peasant Revolution Memorial Hall, offering more opportunities to take memorable photos.

The trip concludes with a visit to Jeongeup's famous Ssanghwacha Street, where participants can sample a variety of local snacks and experience the deep flavor and story of Jeongeup Ssanghwacha.

The package price is 149,000 won per adult, which includes round-trip KTX fare, local connecting transportation, lunch, TravelSnap lecture and experience fees, and various admission fees. The program will operate regularly every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) starting from May 3, and reservations can be made via the Haemil travel agency website or by phone.

Last year, the city signed an agreement with KORAIL to revitalize tourism in areas with declining populations, offering a 50% discount on rail fares for tourists visiting Jeongeup. The city is also continuously developing diverse tourism content, such as TravelSnap photography and star chef specialty cuisine.

Mayor Lee Haksoo stated, "We will prepare even more diverse content so that tourists visiting Jeongeup can create special memories and enjoy a comfortable rest," adding, "We will continue to do our best to make Jeongeup a happy tourism city."

Meanwhile, the city also plans to conduct a familiarization tour in mid-May for representatives of train and bus travel agencies specializing in Seoul metropolitan area trips, to promote local tourism resources and incentive policies.
