Kakao Pay Securities Launches 'Sales Commission Benefit' Event for Stock Transfers

Kakao Pay Securities announced on April 28 that it will launch the "Sell Here, No Matter Where You Bought It" Season 2 event for users who transfer stocks into their accounts.

This event is designed to reduce users' commission burdens and provide a more flexible trading environment. The core benefit is that users who transfer domestic or overseas stocks held at other securities firms into their Kakao Pay Securities accounts will receive discounted sales commissions for 1,000 days.

Previously, in November of last year, Kakao Pay Securities ran the Season 1 event, which offered a lifetime refund of sales commissions for overseas stocks transferred in, and received a strong response. In Season 2, the scope has been expanded to include domestic stocks as well.

The application period for the event is from April 25, 2025, to June 30, 2025, and the deadline for stock transfers is July 7. Users who transfer stocks worth at least 10 million won, based on the valuation amount during the event period, into a Kakao Pay Securities comprehensive account or stock account will automatically receive the sales commission benefit for 1,000 days starting from the next day after the transfer is completed, beginning with the regular trading session for overseas stocks.

However, related agency fees and applicable taxes will be charged separately. The transfer amount is calculated based on when the stocks are actually reflected in the account, and processing times may vary depending on the transfer and application schedules of the respective securities firms.

Additionally, among users who complete the transfer, one person will be selected by lottery to receive Tesla stock worth 10 million won as an extra benefit.

Kakao Pay Securities stated, "Last year's Season 1 event, which focused on overseas stocks, received an enthusiastic response from users," and added, "This year, we have expanded the scope to domestic stocks so that more customers can experience substantial commission savings."
