GS25 Launches Family Month Planned Products Including 'Pure Gold Carnation'

Launch of Over 150 Items Including Hanwoo and LEGO
Targeting Peak Sales Season with Increased Outings

GS25, the convenience store operated by GS Retail, announced on April 28 that it will introduce more than 150 planned products for Family Month, including pure gold carnations, premium Korean beef, and popular toys.

To mark Parents' Day (May 8), GS25 is offering a total of 10 pure gold products, including a 1g carnation badge and a 3.75g carnation gold bar. These items can be reserved and purchased at GS25 stores nationwide. The pure gold products are sold on a made-to-order basis. Completed products are packaged in a premium case with a certificate of authenticity and delivered to the location specified by the customer.

GS25 has also decided to offer six varieties of fresh carnation flowers in partnership with organizations such as the Korea Flower Agricultural Cooperative, to help expand sales channels for flower farmers. The company will also hold a consumer promotion event, offering a buy-one-get-one-free benefit when customers pay with affiliated cards (NH Nonghyup, BC Card). In addition, through the pre-order service on the 'Woori Dongnae GS' application, four differentiated carnation products from the flower brand 'KUKKA' will be sold at special prices until May 3.

Seven types of beef products, including '1++ Hanwoo' (top-grade Korean beef), will also be offered as special Family Month items. The main products are an 800g pack of 1++ Hanwoo sirloin priced at 99,800 won, and 2kg of LA-style beef ribs priced at 74,800 won. In addition, in celebration of Children's Day (May 5), GS25 has prepared popular toy items such as eight types of the Best LEGO Start Pack.

GS25 is launching a large number of differentiated planned products because convenience store sales typically enter their peak season starting in May. According to GS25's monthly sales index, which sets the average monthly sales in the previous year at 100, the sales index for May reached 104, surpassing the average.

Kim Daeyoung, product planner (MD) of GS Retail's Life Living Team, said, "We are introducing more than 150 differentiated Family Month planned products to match the consumer trend of preparing special gifts for memorable occasions through nearby convenience stores. In addition to these planned products, we will do our best to ensure everyone enjoys a bountiful Family Month by offering a variety of generous discount promotions."
