The 21st Changwon City Pungmul Troupe Federation Grand Festival is an event that aims to inherit and develop the region's traditional culture by embodying the spirit and soul of the Korean people in art through a pungmul competition. It has played a role in raising citizens' interest in traditional arts.

This year's event featured 17 pungmul troupes, each representing different neighborhoods, who came together to showcase their honed skills and present a lively pungmul performance. Through this venue of unity, where troupe members and citizens mingled together, it became a meaningful occasion to highlight the communal spirit and value of harmony inherent in pungmul.

At the Grand Festival held on the 26th, Changwon Special City’s Second Vice Mayor Cho Myungrae attended, delivered a congratulatory speech, and presented commendation certificates to individuals who contributed to the development of local arts.

Second Vice Mayor Cho Myungrae stated, "Pungmul is a precious cultural heritage that expresses the joys and sorrows our ancestors felt in daily life, as well as the unity of the community," and added, "The city will do its utmost to ensure that our beautiful traditional cultural heritage continues to be passed down unbroken."
