Over 20 Cosmo Group Executives Visit Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Center

Experience the Outstanding Value of Jinju K-Entrepreneurship

More than 20 executives from Cosmo Group, including Chairman Heo Kyungsoo, visited the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Center.

According to Jinju City on April 28, the group took time to learn about the roots of Jinju K-Entrepreneurship, toured the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Center Exhibition Hall and Seungsan Village, and experienced various aspects of Jinju K-Entrepreneurship.

During a meeting with Heo Kyungsoo, Chairman of Cosmo Group, Jinju Mayor Jo Kyuil stated, "Jinju K-Entrepreneurship represents the business values of the founding families of Korea's four major companies?LG, GS, Samsung, and Hyosung?that led the nation's economic growth over the past century. It is based on respect for humanity and community values, which set it apart from Western and other domestic entrepreneurial philosophies." He emphasized the outstanding value of Jinju K-Entrepreneurship.

He continued, "To spread Jinju K-Entrepreneurship worldwide and pass it on to future generations, we are pursuing projects such as granting honorary road names?Hyoju Heo Manjeong-ro and Yeonam Koo Inhoe-ro?implementing Jinju K-Entrepreneurship education in elementary, middle, and high schools, hosting the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship International Forum and Youth Forum, organizing the K-Entrepreneurship Startup Competition, establishing the Korea Entrepreneurship Hall, and developing K-Geosang tourism route products. I hope Cosmo Group will show much affection and interest in these initiatives."

Heo Kyungsoo, Chairman of Cosmo Group, said, "The reason our group executives visited Jinju for two days from April 25 to 26 for a strategic meeting was to experience the entrepreneurial spirit of the GS Group founder and to seek new future values for our group. I am grateful to Jinju City for spreading the business values of Heo Manjeong, founder of GS Group, to future generations and both domestically and internationally. We will continue to pay close attention to the various projects undertaken by Jinju City."

Meanwhile, Chairman Heo Kyungsoo is the eldest son of the late Heo Shingu, Honorary Chairman of GS Retail and the fourth son of GS founder Heo Manjeong. Cosmo Group was established in 1987 and became an independent management entity through its separation from GS Group in 2015. Recently, Cosmo Advanced Materials has shown improved performance due to increased demand for secondary battery materials, and the company is expanding its eco-friendly materials business by operating a battery recycling plant.
