Since 2014, Kyobo Life Insurance has been establishing the identity and role of its exclusive financial planners (FPs) every year through the MDRT Day, under a management philosophy that prioritizes trust with customers over short-term performance. MDRT is an international association of life insurance agents that began in the United States in 1927. Currently, it has more than 60,000 members in over 70 countries around the world. Its members aim to provide the best service to clients based on professionalism and a strong sense of ethics.
This year's event was attended by approximately 630 Kyobo MDRT FPs from across the country, as well as field sales managers, executives, and team leaders from the head office, totaling around 1,200 participants. The attendees reaffirmed their responsibilities and mission as FPs by reflecting on the five major codes of ethics: prioritizing clients' interests, providing the highest quality advice, maintaining client confidentiality, making rational decisions, and complying with business ethics and regulations.
Shin Changjae, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Kyobo Life Insurance, stated, "When you fully understand the value of your work and have a sense of calling, you are more likely to achieve greater success." He added, "The mission that Kyobo pursues for life insurance professionals is to help everyone overcome future adversity through mutual support, protect daily happiness with a sense of security throughout life, and pursue their precious dreams." He continued, "A financial planner is not simply a salesperson who sells products, but someone who fulfills customer protection by helping clients return to their daily lives through insurance payouts. The highest value of the financial planner profession lies in altruistic service for the benefit of clients."
