This sports festival was resumed for the first time in six years after being suspended due to the impact of COVID-19. At the event, Mayor Park Heeyoung stated, "We will expand opportunities for residents to participate in various sports-for-all activities so that everyone in the district can build a healthy community and gain vitality in their lives through sports and cultural activities."
The event was attended by Mayor Park, National Assembly member Kwon Youngse, Seoul Metropolitan Council members, Yongsan District Council members, and residents from 16 neighborhoods. The festival featured inter-neighborhood competitions such as group jump rope, tug-of-war, seven-a-side penalty shootouts, and a 400-meter relay. After intense competition, the overall championship went to Itaewon 2-dong, with Cheongpa-dong in second place, Yongmun-dong in third, and Bogwang-dong in fourth.
On one side of the venue, experience booths were set up for families attending the event. A variety of activities, including air bounce, Tuho throwing, and face painting, were offered and received an enthusiastic response from children and parents alike.
