Acting President and Prime Minister Han Ducksoo urgently instructed relevant ministries to review the appropriateness of measures related to the SK Telecom USIM hacking incident.
On April 27, Han directed the Ministry of Science and ICT to thoroughly examine whether SK Telecom's actions, such as the replacement of USIM cards, were appropriate, in order to promptly resolve the inconvenience and anxiety experienced by the public as a result of this incident.

He also called on the Ministry of Science and ICT, in cooperation with related ministries such as the Korea Communications Commission and the Personal Information Protection Commission, to make every effort to swiftly address public inconvenience.
In addition, he ordered a thorough analysis of the cause of this hacking incident, transparent disclosure of the findings to the public, and comprehensive improvements to the current information security system to ensure it can effectively defend against cyberattacks.
