Jeonnam Hampyeong County announced on the 27th that it participated in the '2025 Y-FARM EXPO' to promote the region and attract people interested in returning to farming and rural living.

The '2025 Y-FARM EXPO', held from the 25th to the 27th at the Suwon Convention Center exhibition hall, is South Korea's leading smart farming and rural youth entrepreneurship fair. The event was organized with the goals of encouraging population inflow into rural areas, fostering young farmers, and supporting rural settlement in order to overcome the crisis of regional depopulation.

A total of 88 local governments from across the country and 35 agriculture-related institutions and companies participated in the expo. They introduced a variety of agricultural policies and support programs, and provided information to help urban residents settle stably in rural areas.

During the event, Hampyeong County operated a promotional booth, offering one-on-one customized consultations and information on settlement support programs to those interested in returning to farming and rural living, as well as showcasing local agricultural products to directly promote the county's appeal.

County Governor Lee Sangik stated, "Hampyeong is the ideal destination for those considering returning to farming and rural living, as it boasts a pristine natural environment, abundant agricultural resources, and a wide range of support programs for settlement. Through this expo, we will actively promote Hampyeong so that many urban residents can choose it as a new place to build their lives."
