Nationwide "Young Farmer Direct Market" to Be Held in Busan!

A Rich Selection of Fresh Produce, Desserts, and Health Foods
Outstanding Products from Young Farmers Nationwide Available Through Direct Trade

The "Young Farmer Market," where visitors can enjoy fresh vegetables, fruits, and desserts made directly by renowned young farmers from across the country at reasonable prices, will be held in Busan.


Lotte Department Store's Busan Main Branch will host the "Young Farmer Market" at the Signature Popup Zone on Basement Level 1 from April 28 to May 7, offering a direct trade market where young farmers will personally showcase outstanding products developed in various regions nationwide.


Featured products include the "Chamoe Melon" from Seongju farmer Kim Haeran and "Strawberries" from Miryang farmer Park Dagyeom, as well as popular desserts such as "Shinan Purple Sand" made with agricultural products from Shinan, the highly popular "Strawberry Manggaetteok" from Changwon, and "Gotgam Manggaetteok." A wide variety of these popular desserts will be introduced.

Fresh agricultural products such as oatmeal, yuzu, oats, blueberries, black jujube cherry tomatoes, purple carrots, and sweet potatoes, all cultivated in regions across the country, will also be sold through direct trade.

Special discounted products will be available through a limited first-come, first-served event, including one pack (500g) of Miryang strawberries for 5,000 KRW, four Seongju chamoe melons for 8,000 KRW, and one bag (800g) of Naju sweet potatoes for 1,500 KRW.


In addition, to celebrate Family Month in May, gift sets such as "Carnations" and "Ginseng Tea Sets" will be offered at discounts of up to 70%.


In Chi-hyun, Team Leader of the Fruit & Vegetables Team in the FOOD Division of Lotte Department Store's MD Headquarters, stated, "Through this event, we are able to offer consumers excellent domestic agricultural products at reasonable prices, while also providing local farmers with new sales channels, making this a particularly meaningful event. We will continue to travel to production regions nationwide to discover outstanding products and further strengthen events like this."


During the event period, the Signature Popup Zone will also feature pop-up stores for the cost-effective children's clothing brand "Minidough" (April 28?May 11), the small massage device specialist brand "Polio" (April 29?May 11), and the English picture book sales event for infants and toddlers "Book Mecca" (May 8?11).


First launched last month, the Signature Popup Zone on Basement Level 1 of the Busan Main Branch hosts two to three new pop-up stores each month, offering a variety of experiences and attractions and serving as a catalyst for bringing youthful energy to the Seomyeon commercial district.
