The fairest comparison is to use the results of
Lee Jaemyung vs. Han Ducksoo and Lee Jaemyung vs. the People Power Party candidate
Ahn Cheolsoo, a preliminary presidential candidate from the People Power Party, stated on April 27, "If Han Ducksoo, the acting president and prime minister, runs in this presidential election, we must ultimately select the final candidate through a primary together with our party's final candidate."
Speaking to reporters at the National Assembly's communication center that morning, Ahn said, "I hope that the most competitive candidate to face Lee Jaemyung, the former leader of the Democratic Party, will be chosen in the most objective and accurate way," and added, "Even if someone is an independent, they can participate in the primary regardless of their affiliation."
He continued, "If Han is the only candidate in question, joining the party would be a much better path, but I think it would be difficult to join in the middle of the primary," and stated, "Once the primary is over and the final candidate is chosen, it would be appropriate to hold a primary with that candidate at that time."
Regarding the method of unifying candidates with Han, he added, "The fairest way is to compare the results of a one-on-one contest: Lee Jaemyung versus Han Ducksoo, and Lee Jaemyung versus our party's candidate."
Ahn, who has a background as a doctor, scientist, entrepreneur, and professor, once again emphasized that he is the most suitable person to be the next presidential candidate.

At the press conference, Ahn described his rivals Kim Moonsoo, Han Donghoon, and Hong Joonpyo as "all outstanding individuals," but defined them as "former legal professionals and bureaucrats who are oriented toward the past."
He went on to say, "Public support for impeachment exceeds 60 percent. A candidate who opposed impeachment and defended martial law cannot defeat Lee Jaemyung," and stressed, "A political novice who is a former prosecutor has no justification."
He concluded, "A president who prepares for the future must be a moral person with experience and knowledge in many fields. It should not be a lawyer who deals with the past, but a scientist and entrepreneur who deals with the future. Only I, Ahn Cheolsoo, fit that description."
