KT: "Emergency Restoration of Telecommunications Facilities Damaged by Gyeongbuk Wildfire Completed"

KT announced on April 27 that it had completed emergency restoration of telecommunications facilities damaged by the recent large-scale wildfire in the Gyeongbuk region.

Immediately after the disaster occurred, KT deployed an average of about 200 restoration personnel per day to carry out on-site recovery operations, as a result of which the telecommunications facilities in the affected area have been normalized.

Even after the restoration of the telecommunications facilities, KT is conducting on-site inspections to ensure service stability and is also carrying out intensive monitoring to improve the perceived quality of service for customers in the wildfire-affected areas.

Hwang Kyunghee, Head of KT Daegu-Gyeongbuk NW Operations Headquarters, stated, "We will continue to provide support to ensure stable telecommunications services in wildfire-affected areas," and added, "Based on this experience, we plan to complete a disaster-resilient network infrastructure and establish a more sophisticated disaster response system."
