On this day, former leader Lee Jaemyung wrote on social media, "I pray for the repose of the worker who passed away and offer my condolences to the bereaved family," adding, "I urge the relevant authorities to pay special attention to ensure that no further accidents occur."
Former Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyungsoo also posted on social media, saying, "I pray for the deceased and extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family," and added, "I will do my utmost to ensure that every citizen can live in a country where they do not feel unsafe."
Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dongyeon wrote on social media, "I pray for the repose of the deceased," and stated, "I take this accident extremely seriously."
Governor Kim especially emphasized, "Gyeonggi Province will identify the cause of the accident quickly and clearly," and added, "We will conduct an emergency inspection of overall construction site safety management to prevent any further accidents."
