On April 26, Ahn wrote on Facebook, "The candidacies of Han Deoksoo, Kim Moonsoo, and Han Donghoon (HanKimHan) are in line with Lee Jaemyung's strategy," and continued, "The people have impeached the president. Naturally, the Yoon Sukyeol cabinet was also impeached. Yet, now, members of the impeached cabinet are acting as major presidential contenders in our party." He went on to say, "They themselves know very well that they cannot win. However, for their own future political calculations, they are deceiving party members and betraying conservatives," and pointed out, "Such actions will eventually lead to another collapse of the conservative camp."
In particular, addressing Han Donghoon, Ahn said, "Watching the debate was truly astonishing. Han Donghoon reached the ranks of our party's presidential candidates solely because he was the closest aide to former President Yoon Sukyeol," adding, "Of course, he was also a key figure in the crushing defeat in the last general election." He then asked, "What did Han Donghoon do as party leader to reform the party?" Regarding Han's claim in the TV debate the previous day that he prevented martial law, Ahn criticized, "If, as the ruling party leader, he had simply communicated properly with the government, the very idea of martial law would never have arisen in the first place. Please, find your conscience first."
Regarding Acting Prime Minister Han Deoksoo, Ahn said, "You must not run. Right now, the Democratic Party is trying to frame this presidential election as 'Lee Jaemyung versus Yoon Sukyeol,'" and continued, "Han Deoksoo is the most suitable opponent for this frame, but he is a candidate who would lose every time. The candidacies of impeached cabinet members are simply complying with Lee Jaemyung's strategy, and it is as if they are willingly putting their own heads on Lee Jaemyung's guillotine."
Ahn stated, "Everyone will remember the last presidential election. Our only goal was a change of government," and added, "I made the decision to unify the candidacy in order to prevent Lee Jaemyung from coming to power. Now, the situation is even more desperate than it was then." He continued, "Even in the face of the Chae Sangbyeong incident, legislative conflicts, and the impeachment crisis, the only person who listened to the people's will and stood by his convictions was Ahn Cheolsoo," emphasizing, "Only I can stand against Lee Jaemyung."
