The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is implementing a range of policies to restore trust in private schools.
On April 25, the Office announced that it had held the "Creating a Sound and Transparent Gyeonggi Private Education" campaign at the Southern Office building in Suwon, aiming to strengthen the transparency and public nature of private schools in the province and to foster a healthy educational environment. During the event, participants discussed measures to enhance the accountability of private educational institutions.
This campaign was organized to restore the reputation of private schools, which has been damaged by accounting fraud and the private use of public property at some institutions. It also aims to increase the public nature and accountability of private school operations.

To address the administrative weaknesses of private schools, the Office will first expand training opportunities for staff and principals and provide more systematic support. The Office will offer "Electronic Financial Services (e-Education Treasury)" and will institutionalize regular accounting inspections using the "K-Edufine Clean Finance" system.
In addition, as part of a sustainable reform rather than a one-time effort, the Office will promote the creation of sound and transparent private schools in Gyeonggi through the active participation, monitoring, and suggestions of the Gyeonggi education community.
Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Private School Future Education Council was launched to facilitate communication and discuss current issues with private educational institutions.
