Jeonnam Province announced that a total of 1,051 volunteers are carrying out dedicated activities at the 2025 National Sports for All Festival, which is being held over four days until April 27, spreading the warm-hearted spirit of Jeonnam.
The volunteers were selected in February through the "2025 National Sports for All Festival Volunteer Platform." After completing basic volunteer training, job-specific training, and hospitality training, they were officially assigned to the festival site.
They are supporting the main operations center, assisting with the opening and closing ceremonies, helping with event management, and operating information desks and promotional booths, thereby ensuring the smooth progress of the festival throughout its duration.
In addition, they are contributing to a clean and pleasant environment at the event venues by collecting trash and maintaining the surroundings as they move throughout the festival grounds.
In particular, the volunteers are serving as ambassadors for Jeonnam by warmly greeting and assisting athletes and spectators in need with bright smiles and kindness, effectively promoting the province's welcoming image nationwide.
Heartwarming stories continue to emerge. Kim Seongsu, President of the Jeonnam Branch of the Korean Physical Therapy Association, has participated in operating the promotional booth at Mokpo Sports Complex from the 2023 National (Para) Sports Festival through this year's festival, providing injury-prevention stretching, taping therapy, and exercise guidance for spectators and athletes.
Kim Sanggil, Director of the Jeonnam Volunteer Center, said, "With pride in representing Jeonnam, we are welcoming athletes and spectators with kindness and serving with a sense of ownership," adding, "We will do our utmost until the end to ensure the festival is filled with inspiration, safety, and happiness."
Yoo Hyeonho, Director of Tourism and Sports for Jeonnam Province, stated, "This festival is an important event that marks the grand finale of three years of nationwide sports competitions, and the dedication and passion of the volunteers are driving the success of the event. The warm hands of the volunteers are making the festival site even brighter and more welcoming."
