Hongseong County to Operate Extended Schedule with Nine Shows Daily from May 3 to 6
Abundant Attractions and Entertainment Including Water Play Area and Nighttime Laser Show
Hongseong County in South Chungcheong Province will partially adjust the operating schedule of the Namdanghang Marine Fountain Park Music Fountain around May 5, Children’s Day, to accommodate families visiting Namdanghang.
According to the county on April 25, the music fountain is usually closed on Mondays and operates from Tuesday to Sunday. However, due to the expected surge in visitors to Namdanghang on Children’s Day and Buddha’s Birthday, the county plans to adjust the regular closing days to ensure continuous operation.
As a result, from May 3 to May 6, the fountain will operate nine times a day, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The duration of each fountain show will be extended from 20 minutes to 40 minutes, and water play will also be allowed during this period.
The Namdanghang Marine Fountain Park Music Fountain, located in Namdang-ri, Seobu-myeon, Hongseong County, boasts the largest scale in the country (6,600 square meters). In addition to the music fountain and water play area, visitors can enjoy a laser show featuring various light effects at night, providing a unique experience.
Lee Hwaseon, head of the county’s Maritime and Fisheries Division, said, “By flexibly adjusting the fountain park’s operating schedule during the Children’s Day holiday, we aim to offer a variety of attractions and entertainment for visitors to Namdanghang, making it a destination they will want to return to.”
