[Breaking] Fire Breaks Out at COEX in Seoul... Visitors and Employees Evacuate

A fire broke out at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

According to fire authorities on April 25, a report was received at 11:06 a.m. that a fire had started at a restaurant on the second floor of COEX. Firefighters and equipment were dispatched to the scene and are currently working to extinguish the blaze.

At present, the area around Samseong-dong is filled with thick black smoke coming from the COEX building. COEX visitors and employees are evacuating outside the building. So far, no casualties have been reported.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government is restricting some lanes on Yeongdong-daero between COEX and Samseong Station due to the fire at COEX.
