Two-Month Courses for One-on-One and One-to-Three Classes
Free for Socially Disadvantaged Groups
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province is now recruiting students for the second session of its "2025 Native Speaker Video English Education Program," which aims to foster future talents with global communication skills.
This program targets elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as youth of corresponding ages in the city. It offers practical English conversation lessons through real-time video classes with native speakers based overseas, either one-on-one or in groups of one teacher to three students.
The classes will run for two months, from June 2 to July 31. After registering as a member, students can take a level test and receive customized lessons suited to their proficiency. The one-on-one classes are 60 minutes per week, while the one-to-three classes are 90 minutes per week. Students can freely choose their preferred time slots.
For general students, the one-on-one class costs 60,000 won per month, and the one-to-three class costs 29,000 won per month. These fees are 50% discounted from the regular tuition. Socially disadvantaged groups, including basic livelihood security recipients, those in the second-lowest income bracket, and people with disabilities, can participate free of charge.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 7 p.m. on the 2nd of next month through the "Osan City Native Speaker Video English" website. The city also plans to sequentially operate the third and fourth sessions of the program in August and October, respectively.
Lee Gwonjae, Mayor of Osan, stated, "We will further strengthen the foundation for nurturing global talents through sustainable public education support policies."
