Busan Office of Education Appoints Parent Education Press Corps and Busan Education Promotion Supporters

Full-scale Launch of Promotional Activities with Direct Participation from the Education Community

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) held the '2025 Parent Education Press Corps and Busan Education Promotion Supporters Appointment Ceremony' at 4:00 p.m. on April 24 in the International Conference Room on the 6th floor of the Office of Education's annex building.

The 'Parent Education Press Corps' and 'Busan Education Promotion Supporters' were selected through an open recruitment process in March. They are scheduled to be active for one year starting in April.

The 43 members of the Parent Education Press Corps are responsible for reporting directly from educational sites in Busan, writing articles, and delivering vivid educational news. The eight members of the Busan Education Promotion Supporters will take the lead in promoting Busan education through various means, including participating in video production and promoting online content.

Prior to the appointment ceremony, a training session was held to strengthen the promotional capabilities of the press corps and supporters. The special lecture, 'Practical Blog Writing Know-how,' conducted by writer Kim Aeri, received an enthusiastic response from the participants.

Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "I expect the activities of the Parent Education Press Corps and Promotion Supporters to greatly benefit Busan education," adding, "We will do our best to create an educational environment where children can learn and grow happily, based on active communication and cooperation with the educational community."
