Unable to Even Wear Shoes Due to Wildfire... Narzio Donates 100 Million Won Worth of Shoes to Andong Disaster Victims

Shoes are being delivered to disaster victims who were unable to even put on footwear while fleeing the wildfire. The promotional model for these shoes has already donated 100 million won as well.


Shoe company Narzio has donated goods worth 100 million won to support victims in Andong, Gyeongbuk, who suffered severe damage from a large-scale wildfire.


On April 25, Narzio announced that it had donated about 100 million won worth of functional shoes to Andong City through the Community Chest of Korea Gyeongbuk Social Welfare Community Fund.

The donated shoes are from a brand promoted by popular singer Jang Minho, known for being comfortable for middle-aged and older adults. The donated items will be distributed to local disaster victims through Andong City. Jang Minho, who is currently a promotional model for Narzio, previously donated 100 million won in relief funds to help wildfire victims recover their daily lives.


The items donated by Narzio this time will be delivered to local residents who had to evacuate without proper footwear due to the sudden wildfire, as well as to those suffering from hardships caused by the disaster.


According to the Korea Forest Service, the Andong area in Gyeongbuk suffered the second-largest damage in the country from this fire, with 9,896 hectares of forest lost. Homes, farmland, and other living spaces were extensively damaged, making rapid recovery and support urgently needed.


Narzio Chairperson Lim Oksun said, "I would like to express my deepest condolences and sympathy to the residents who lost their homes due to the sudden wildfire, and I have provided relief supplies to offer even a small measure of support."


Chairperson Lim added, "Going forward, Narzio will continue to fulfill its social responsibilities and strive to be a company that stands with neighbors in need."
