Padu Establishes Foothold for Entry into Indian Market at 'Data Center Summit and Awards 2025'

Surging Demand for Data Center SSDs in India
Securing Initial Momentum for Entry into the Local Market
Expanding Cooperation with Major Indian AI Data Center Companies

Padu, a semiconductor company specializing in data center solutions, announced on April 25 that it participated in the 22nd Data Center Summit and Awards held in Mumbai, India, where it introduced its high-performance solid-state drive (SSD) controller technology and established a foothold for entering the local artificial intelligence (AI) data center market.

The event, held on April 23, was organized by the Indian business media company UBS Forum. It is a leading platform for technological exchange, bringing together leaders in the data center and AI sectors.

This year, under the theme of "Infrastructure Optimization for the Hyperconnected Era," global data center companies such as STT GDC India, CtrlS Datacenters, Cyfuture, ESDS Software Solution, Yotta Data Services, and Tata Communications, along with numerous local IT experts, participated in the event.

Padu aimed to use this event as a springboard for entering the Indian market. The Indian data center market is rapidly growing, driven by the government-led AI development policy known as the "India AI Mission." According to Indian market research firm Astute Analytica, the Indian data center market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 13.37% and reach approximately $21.87 billion (about KRW 3.115 trillion) by 2032. In particular, the market is quickly shifting from existing SATA and SAS-based SSDs to high-performance PCIe SSDs for data centers, which is expected to lead to a surge in demand.

At the event, Padu established initial cooperative relationships with major local AI data center companies. In a presentation session on SSD strategies for advancing AI infrastructure, the company highlighted the growth prospects of the enterprise SSD market driven by increasing AI workloads, technologies for optimizing power efficiency and performance, and customized SSD strategies for global hyperscale customers.

Notably, Padu's fifth-generation SSD product lineup (U.2, E1.S, E3.S), showcased at the event, attracted attention for having received official certification from the global data center open-source consortium, the Open Compute Project (OCP). This OCP certification, led by global big tech companies such as Meta, Microsoft, and Google, signifies that Padu's technological capabilities and reliability have been objectively recognized.

Kim Taekyun, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Padu, stated, "Based on our independently developed SSD controller technology, Padu is providing customer-tailored, high-performance, and low-power SSD solutions, thereby securing global competitiveness. By participating in this year's India Data Center Summit, we will establish close cooperative relationships with major local AI data center companies and use this as a stepping stone for entering the Indian market."
