Exhibitions and Archery Competitions Also to Be Held
At the tea ceremony (Darye), which will take place at 11 a.m., the head of the Hyeonchungsa Management Office will serve as the Choheon-gwan (the first officiant), offering incense and the first cup of liquor. The Aheon-gwan (the second officiant), representing the descendants, will be Lee Jongsul, while the Jongheon-gwan (the third officiant), representing the citizens, will be Kim Sangmoon.
Following the ceremony, members of the "Hyeonchungsa Youth National Heritage Guardians," a student experiential organization formed to promote Admiral Yi Sun-sin's achievements and the historical significance of the 1932 reconstruction of Hyeonchungsa, will participate in the floral tribute and incense offering.
Around the anniversary, an exhibition featuring photographs and illustrations related to Admiral Yi Sun-sin will be held at the Hyeonchungsa traditional house until May 5. In addition, the 64th Presidential National Archery Competition between cities and provinces will take place at the Hyeonchungsa archery range on the morning of April 28.
