From Brahms to Musicals
A Choral Festival to Enjoy with Family
Kimcheon City in North Gyeongsang Province is preparing a special concert for Family Month, designed for citizens and their families to enjoy together.
On April 25, Kimcheon City announced that the 37th regular concert of the Kimcheon City Choir, titled "Generations in Harmony, Singing Hope," will be held at the City Cultural Center on May 15 at 7:30 p.m.
This concert features a moving program that all generations can relate to. The event will present a variety of stages, including Brahms' renowned choral work "Zigeunerlieder (Gypsy Songs)," masterpieces of contemporary choral music from around the world, and choral arrangements that reinterpret musicals and popular songs.
The performance will last for 1 hour and 30 minutes without an intermission, and anyone of elementary school age or older can attend free of charge.
Tickets can be reserved starting at 2:00 p.m. on May 2 through the Ticketlink website and app, with a maximum of four tickets per person.
Reserved tickets will be distributed on the day of the concert from 6:30 p.m. at the venue. If tickets are not collected by 10 minutes before the performance begins, the reservation will be automatically canceled and the tickets will be allocated to those waiting on site.
A city official stated, "This concert will be a valuable opportunity for families to communicate through music and broaden understanding between generations," adding, "We hope for the interest and participation of many citizens."
