Suwon Nambu Fire Station Wins Excellence and Encouragement Awards at Gyeonggi-do Citizen CPR Competition

Suwon Nambu Fire Station in Gyeonggi Province won both the Excellence Award and the Encouragement Award at the 14th Gyeonggi-do Citizen CPR Competition held at the Gyeonggi Human Resources Development Institute on the 22nd and 23rd.


This competition was held with the goal of improving the rate of CPR implementation and spreading a culture of respect for life. A total of 57 teams participated, showcasing performance-based CPR skills that included situational response abilities.

As a result of the judging, Suwon Nambu Fire Station received the Excellence Award in the disabled division (Nido Group Home for the Disabled) and the Encouragement Award in the student and youth division (Chilbo Youth After-School Academy) at the same time.


Ko Youngju, chief of Suwon Nambu Fire Station, stated, "CPR plays a crucial role in securing the golden time for saving lives," and added, "I hope this competition serves as an opportunity to spread a culture where anyone can perform CPR in emergency situations."


Meanwhile, Suwon Nambu Fire Station has recently achieved significant results, winning the Grand Prize in the comprehensive fire station evaluation and the Excellence Award at the Firefighting Technology Competition.
