Lee Junseok: "The Presidential Race Should Be Reshaped by Engineering Concerns"
Representative Ahn Cheolsoo, a presidential primary candidate from the People Power Party, and Representative Lee Junseok, a presidential candidate from the Reform Party, will hold a discussion on the topic of "artificial intelligence (AI) technology supremacy" on April 25.
Both camps announced on April 24 that they will host "Ahn Cheolsoo X Lee Junseok, Danbi Talk for Opening the Future" at 2:00 p.m. on April 25, under the theme "Korea's Future in the Era of AI Technology Supremacy."
The event will take place at the plaza in front of Exit 1 of Pangyo Station in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, which is Representative Ahn's constituency.
On this day, Representative Lee stated on social media, "There have been times when Representative Ahn and I have had various political disagreements, but when it comes to the shared challenge of the science and technology supremacy race, we must come together," adding, "I hope the presidential race is reshaped not by political engineering that only weighs pros and cons under slogans like 'big tent,' but by genuine engineering concerns for the future of Korea."
The previous day, in an interview with Channel A, Representative Ahn said, "It is truly desirable to unite with everyone who stands for 'anti-Lee Jaemyung' and bring about a change in government," and addressed Representative Lee by saying, "Aren't you and I both from science and engineering backgrounds? Creating an opportunity to have a discussion on AI will be beneficial for the people and for Korea."
