The program is available to young people aged 19 to 39 (born between 1985 and 2006) who are not homeowners and whose household income is at or below 180% of the median income, provided they have either moved into Hwaseong City or have completed a move-in report after relocating within the city between January 1 of last year and the date of this announcement.

Eligible rental homes must have a deposit of 500 million KRW or less. The exclusive area must be 60 square meters or less for single-person households, and 85 square meters or less for households with additional members.

Applicants are not eligible if the landlord is a direct ascendant of the applicant or their spouse, if they are recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security Program (excluding those receiving only educational benefits), or if they have received similar brokerage fee or moving expense support from central government ministries or other local governments.

The city will select a total of 300 recipients, with 150 chosen in the first half of the year and 150 in the second half, providing support for brokerage fees and moving expenses up to a maximum of 500,000 KRW per person.

Those interested can apply via the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation's "Jobaba Apply" integrated application system until the 30th of next month. Detailed information can be found in the official announcement posted on the Hwaseong City Hall website or the Jobaba Apply integrated application system.

Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong, stated, "We decided to provide support for brokerage fees and moving expenses to offer tangible help to young people struggling with high inflation and a tough job market," adding, "We will continue to pursue a variety of policies aimed at improving living conditions for young people and alleviating their housing cost burden."
