"Strategic Adjustment for Future Growth"
C-JeS Studio, which represents actors such as Seol Kyunggu and Moon Sori, will be exiting the actor management business. For the time being, the company plans to focus on its core businesses centered on content and music production.
On April 23, C-JeS Studio announced that it would be winding down its actor management business as part of efforts to improve its organizational structure and enhance efficiency. A company representative stated, "This is a strategic adjustment for future growth," and explained, "We are in the process of strengthening business efficiency and profitability through structural improvements." The representative added, "We will continue our efforts to achieve sustainable growth within the entertainment industry."
C-JeS Entertainment, which had previously focused on the actor management business, changed its name to C-JeS Studio in 2023 and has since concentrated on content production. The company has co-produced films such as "The Night Owl" and dramas like "Casino," and recently launched the group HwiB.
Actors currently represented by C-JeS include Seol Kyunggu, Oh Dalsoo, Park Sungwoong, Chae Sira, Jo Seongha, Moon Sori, Song Ilgook, Uhm Jiwon, Shin Eunjeong, Choi Byungmo, Ra Miran, Park Byungeun, and Ryu Junyeol.
This is the second time this year that a major entertainment company has withdrawn from the actor management business. In January, YG Entertainment also began the process of winding down its management division, leading actors such as Kim Heeae and Cha Seungwon to sign with new agencies.
