Preliminary Grade 1 Certification for High-Speed Information and Communication Building
Establishing Smart City Infrastructure

Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) announced on April 24 that it has obtained preliminary certification for Grade 1 High-Speed Information and Communication Building in connection with the Western Busan Administrative Complex Town project.

BMC applied for preliminary certification for Grade 1 High-Speed Information and Communication Building in March, and completed the certification process after technical consultations with the certification center and on-site inspections.

The High-Speed Information and Communication Building certification is granted based on standards set by the Ministry of Science and ICT, evaluating the performance and quality of information and communication facilities within a building. Grade 1 certification is awarded to buildings equipped with the highest level of high-speed information and communication infrastructure. Organizations moving into such buildings can operate efficient administrative services based on a stable wired and wireless network environment and advanced business systems.

This is expected to significantly improve the speed of administrative processing and responsiveness to civil complaints, thereby greatly enhancing citizens' satisfaction with public services.

The Western Busan Administrative Complex Town is a key project aimed at balanced development in western Busan, with major public institutions, including Busan Metropolitan City, set to move in. It will be developed as a smart, integrated administrative space combining administrative, business, and information and communication functions. BMC plans to introduce IoT-based building security systems, smart parking lots, and an integrated management system to realize a digital work environment.

Shin Changho, President of BMC, stated, "As the Western Busan Administrative Complex Town is planned to house core broadcasting and communication facilities such as the Busan City Data Center and Integrated Control Center, we will ensure that tenant organizations can enjoy a more efficient and convenient work environment based on state-of-the-art information and communication infrastructure."
