NH Investment & Securities 100-Year Life Research Institute announced on April 24 that it has published the 102nd issue of THE100 Report.
THE100 Report is a research publication issued by the NH Investment & Securities 100-Year Life Research Institute, covering a wide range of topics such as lifetime asset management for a happy 100-year life and trends related to longevity.
This issue analyzes the health insurance premium assessment system for regional subscribers, who account for about 30% of all subscribers. It explains the criteria for calculating premiums for regional subscribers and compares them to those for workplace subscribers, helping readers anticipate the health insurance premium burden after retirement. The report also provides information that subscribers might overlook, such as the shift to an income-based premium assessment system and the health insurance premium adjustment and settlement system.
Kim Dongik, head of the NH Investment & Securities 100-Year Life Research Institute, stated, "When transitioning to a regional subscriber after retirement, premiums may increase, so it is important to understand the exact calculation criteria in advance and prepare accordingly." He added, "With this report, we aim to help those planning for retirement establish more efficient strategies for managing their health insurance premiums."
