Prime Minister Han Ducksoo, Acting President, stated on the 24th, "We will establish a fund specialized in animation to focus investments on related small and venture businesses, and we will also actively support attracting investments from online video services (OTT), broadcasters, and venture capitalists."

Han, as Acting President, presided over a meeting on national issues with related ministers at the Government Seoul Office on this day. He announced, "To foster the animation industry as a new growth engine for 'K-Content,' we have prepared the 'Basic Plan for the Promotion of the Animation Industry.'"

He emphasized, "We will support the development of technologies related to utilizing new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) in animation production, and we will systematically build a future growth ecosystem by nurturing professionals specialized in animation."

He continued, "The government has prepared the 'Plan for Improving the Management System of Bottled Spring Water' to ensure safe and sustainable management. We will newly introduce a certification system covering the entire process, from groundwater extraction to production, distribution, and storage of bottled spring water, to strengthen quality and safety."

Han also said, "We will further refine the standards for groundwater development permits based on scientific criteria and strengthen environmental impact assessments to prevent indiscriminate overuse of groundwater, thereby promoting sustainable groundwater development and management." He explained that the government will establish an integrated information portal that provides one-stop access to detailed product information, including sources and records of administrative violations, and will systematize related statistics to enhance market transparency and accountability.

Additionally, Han stated, "To build a more convenient and safer digital maritime traffic network, we have prepared the 'Innovation Strategy for the Maritime Navigation Information System.' We will commercialize a high-precision location information service that reduces the margin of error in location data from the current 10 meters to within 5 centimeters, which is the world’s highest standard, through the Global Positioning System (GPS), and we will apply this to advanced industries such as autonomous navigation."
