Focused Promotion of the Region for Visiting Athletes
Fam Tours to Odongdo Island in Yeosu and Mokpo Marine Cable Car
Promoting Private Gardens and the International Namdo Food Industry Expo
Jeonnam Province will launch comprehensive tourism promotion targeting participants and their families in connection with the 2025 National Sports for All Festival, aiming to vitalize tourism in Jeonnam and raise awareness of the region as a tourist destination.
To provide athletes and their families with opportunities to visit major tourist attractions, the province will organize familiarization tours (fam tours) for about 200 people, departing from four different regions.
The fam tours will be one-day trips, featuring key attractions in each region such as the Mokpo Marine Cable Car, Odongdo Island in Yeosu, Damyang Juknokwon, Jangheung Woodland, and Gangjin Gaudo.
At the main venue, Mokpo Stadium, 29 booths will be set up to promote themed tourist destinations such as literary tours, private gardens, and the "Islands to Visit" campaign, as well as large-scale events like the 2025 International Namdo Food Industry Expo and the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo.
In addition to the main venue, each city and county will host events such as music performances, busking, and small-scale festivals, offering athletes and their families opportunities to experience the unique charm and hospitality of Jeonnam.
Shim Woojeong, Director of Tourism at Jeonnam Province, stated, "We will actively promote the flavors and charm of Jeonnam so that participants in the National Sports for All Festival will want to return to our region." He added, "We will also promote Jeonnam Province's 'May, Visit Jeonnam Month' campaign to ensure that May becomes a catalyst for revitalizing tourism in the region."
