The eligible buildings are wooden or masonry structures that meet all of the following criteria: over 30 years old, with a total floor area of 500 square meters or less, and no more than two stories. The program covers residential buildings or Type 1 and Type 2 neighborhood living facilities.

Bukgu plans to spend a total of 150 million won this year to inspect 310 sites, with applications open until April 30. Applications will be accepted until the budget is exhausted.

Two experts, such as architects or structural engineers, will visit each site and assign a safety grade on a five-level scale, ranging from "Excellent" to "Poor." If a building is rated as "Insufficient" or "Poor," a more detailed inspection will be conducted in the second half of the year. To apply, applicants can download the required form from the Bukgu District Office website and submit it by fax or in person. For more information, contact the Architecture Division of the district office.

Mayor Moon In stated, "We will protect residents' safety by identifying risk factors in aging buildings at an early stage," adding, "We will continue to strengthen the local safety net."
