District Mayor Visits Nightclub in Broad Daylight

Jin Kyohun Dances and Connects with Persons with Disabilities
Gangseo Disability Family Support Center Hosts "Oh! Dance Day"

Jin Kyohun, Mayor of Gangseo District, attended "Oh! Dance Day" held at Hobak Night in Hwagok-dong on the 23rd to mark the 45th Day of Persons with Disabilities, where he danced and communicated with people with disabilities.

Wearing glittering clothes and transforming into a dancer, Mayor Jin took the stage twice with families of people with disabilities, delivering surprise performances. He led the lively atmosphere by waving a light stick and moving energetically across the stage.


Even after leaving the stage, he went from table to table, encouraging the participants and engaging in candid conversations. The event was attended by about 300 people, including adult persons with disabilities affiliated with the Gangseo Disability Family Support Center and local disability facilities, as well as their families.


Cho Seungah, head of the Gangseo Disability Family Support Center, who organized and hosted the event, explained the purpose of the event by saying, "Most events for people with disabilities are held to raise public awareness, but 'Oh! Dance Day' is a time when people with disabilities become the true protagonists and can fully enjoy the event."


Mayor Jin Kyohun said, "I am delighted to spend time with friends with disabilities through 'Oh! Dance Day.' I hope that through dance and music, the boundaries between people with and without disabilities will be broken down, and that everyone will enjoy a day full of laughter."


Meanwhile, Mayor Jin is also engaging in "eye-level communication" with residents from all walks of life, from young people to the elderly, by making coffee with youth, holding meetings at local universities and companies, and visiting senior centers for discussions.
