Chosun University announced on the 23rd that it recently held a public hearing with the Alumni Association to promote the 'Glocal University 30' initiative.


The public hearing, held on the 22nd, was attended by key figures including Chosun University Vice President Jeon Jeyeol, Planning Director Park Jongrak, Alumni Association President Jung Hyoseong, and Senior Vice President Bae Jongyong. During the hearing, participants shared and gathered feedback on the core strategies of the Glocal University Innovation Plan, centered on the vision of becoming "Asia's No.1 University for Well-Aging."


Chosun University presented specific and practical examples and visions of cooperation, focusing on its various ongoing industry-academic collaborations and international exchange initiatives. These included global employment and entrepreneurship cooperation with the World-OKTA, a youth job creation agreement with the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a joint graduate degree program with the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, nurturing specialized talent in well-aging through multidisciplinary convergence majors between universities, and expanding the global network of the well-aging industry.


The Alumni Association expressed its intention to actively cooperate in Chosun University's future glocal innovation by strengthening employment and entrepreneurship support through alumni company connections, expanding international cooperation utilizing the overseas alumni network, and increasing participation in fundraising for the Glocal University initiative.


Jeon Jeyeol, Vice President of Chosun University, stated, "The key to Chosun University's glocal success lies in the organic cooperation among university members, including the Alumni Association, and the local community," and added, "We will unite all members to successfully realize a 'university specialized in well-aging.'"


Jung Hyoseong, President of the Chosun University Alumni Association, emphasized, "We will actively support our alma mater's selection as a Glocal University and its innovation efforts," and added, "We will work together to help the university leap beyond the region to become a global university by fully utilizing the capabilities and networks of our alumni."
