Preferential Support for SME Internships and Discounts on Performance Fees
On April 23, Gangnam District in Seoul (Mayor Sungmyung Cho) announced that it has signed agreements with local general hospitals to provide health checkup discounts to exemplary and meritorious taxpayers who have faithfully paid their taxes. The initiative aims to promote a sound tax-paying culture and enhance taxpayers' sense of pride.

On this day, Gangnam District signed a "Business Agreement for Priority Health Checkups for Exemplary and Meritorious Taxpayers" with Gangnam Severance Hospital and Kwangdong Hospital at the district office. Under the agreement, the two medical institutions will offer a 30% discount on health checkup fees not only to exemplary and meritorious taxpayers of Gangnam District, but also to their spouses, direct ascendants and descendants, siblings, as well as to the executives, employees, and their families of corporate taxpayers.
Starting with this agreement, the district plans to gradually expand various benefits for taxpayers, such as preferential support for small and medium-sized enterprise internships and discounts on Gangnam Symphony Orchestra performance fees.
Mayor Sungmyung Cho stated, "We aim to respect taxpayers' rights and provide tangible benefits," adding, "We will continue to strengthen taxpayer welfare and foster a culture of faithful tax payment through cooperation with various sectors."
