Acting President and Prime Minister Han Ducksoo visited the United States Forces Korea Combined Forces Command at Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province on the 23rd to encourage South Korean and U.S. military personnel.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, Han moved to the main building of the Combined Forces Command and discussed security issues with General Xavier Brunson, Commander of the Combined Forces Command, and Lieutenant General Kang Shinchul, Deputy Commander of the Combined Forces Command, among others.

Han emphasized the importance of the South Korea-U.S. alliance and a strong combined defense posture, and asked for continued efforts to further strengthen and develop the alliance in the future.

Afterward, Han moved to the U.S. 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade helicopter hangar, where he expressed his gratitude to the service members who participated in wildfire suppression efforts in March.

At the event, Han introduced himself by stating, "I am Han Ducksoo, Republic of Korea Army Reserve Sergeant, service number 12168724," mentioning his service number and receiving a warm welcome from the troops.

Han then named six individuals, including Captain Will Marshall and First Lieutenant Jordan Debro, who participated in the wildfire suppression efforts, and expressed his sincere gratitude on behalf of the people of the Republic of Korea. Han stated, "Camp Humphreys is a symbol of the South Korea-U.S. alliance and a strong combined defense posture," and called on South Korean and U.S. service members to remain united as they are now.

Han shouted the alliance slogan "Katchi Kapshida" ("We go together"), and the participating service members responded with "We go together," according to the Prime Minister's Office.

Meanwhile, the United States Forces Korea Combined Forces Command, established in November 1978, has served as a symbol of the South Korea-U.S. alliance.
