On April 23, Anseong City announced that Youngsik Kim, chairman of Foodcore Co., had donated 20 million won to the city, the maximum amount allowed per individual under the Hometown Love Donation Program. This marks the first time this year that the city has received the highest possible donation under the program.

Foodcore is a bakery and confectionery company headquartered in Anseong. Established in 2004, the company has expanded its business by producing products such as hamburgers, sandwiches, and cookies. As a small and medium-sized enterprise, it achieved sales of 140 billion won in the bakery sector for the first time in its category.

Chairman Kim stated, "I am honored to be the first major donor to Anseong's Hometown Love Donation Program this year," adding, "I hope many people will participate in the program so that the local community can grow together."

Bora Kim, Mayor of Anseong, responded, "I believe this donation will increase interest in the Hometown Love Donation Program and provide an opportunity for many people to contribute to the development of the city."

The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate to local governments other than their place of residence, with a limit of 20 million won per person. Donations up to 100,000 won are fully tax-deductible, and amounts exceeding this are eligible for a 16.5% tax deduction rate. Donors also receive gifts worth up to 30% of their donation amount.
