Online Training and Beverage Production Courses Offered
The Disabled Enterprise Comprehensive Support Center announced on the 23rd that it is now accepting applications for this year's entrepreneurship training program at "Asan Gachimanduso," a business site specialized for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Gachimanduso is a specialized workplace for people with developmental disabilities operated by the Disabled Enterprise Comprehensive Support Center. It is currently active in eight regions, including Andong in North Gyeongsang Province, Gwangju Metropolitan City, Taean, Jeju, Gongju in South Chungcheong Province, and Asan.
Asan Gachimanduso is equipped with facilities for producing processed grain products and state-of-the-art roasting equipment, offering comprehensive entrepreneurship education covering everything from the basics to production and sales channels. In particular, the center has developed and marketed several brands: "Ttattarung" (warm nurungji) and "Babara" (crispy rice chips), both made from the local specialty "Asan Clear Rice," as well as the coffee bean brand "MBT COFFEE," which means "better together." The center is raising brand awareness and generating revenue through regular coffee bean supply, holiday promotions, and participation in local festivals, thereby fostering communication and mutual growth with the local community.
This year's entrepreneurship training program will run through June. The main components include: ▲ online basic education ▲ foundational entrepreneurship theory and case studies of successful businesses ▲ training in the production of processed grain products and caf? menu items. During the course, individual job assessments will be conducted for participants with developmental disabilities to tailor the training to each person's characteristics and abilities. In addition, stress relief education for family members is also provided.
Participants who complete at least 80% of the training will be eligible to apply for business residency. Once accepted, they will receive professional mentoring in management, finance, taxation, and administration, as well as guidance on running a business. They will also qualify to apply for various entrepreneurship support programs offered by the center.
Applications for this year's entrepreneurship training program at Asan Gachimanduso will be accepted until May 7. Interested individuals should fill out the application form and submit it via email. Detailed information is available on the center's website.Eligible applicants are individuals with developmental disabilities residing in Asan and their family members, who must apply as 1:1 teams. A total of 20 teams (40 people) will be selected.
