Hanul Headquarters Extends Helping Hand for Yeongdeok Wildfire Recovery

Donation of 30 Million Won and Ongoing Volunteer Activities

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director Lee Seyong) has been continuously carrying out volunteer activities for the restoration of wildfire damage in the Yeongdeok area, and has donated a total of 30 million won to the Community Chest of Korea Gyeongbuk Social Welfare Community Fund.

This donation was raised through voluntary contributions (Love Fund) by Hanul Headquarters employees and will be used for emergency support for the restoration of damage in the Yeongdeok area and to help displaced residents return to their daily lives.


More than 50 employees participated, providing support on April 7 and 8 at the Yeongdeok National Sports Center, Yeongdeok Culture and Sports Center, and the Samhwa 2-ri Village Hall, assisting with the operation of shelters for displaced residents, organizing and distributing relief supplies, and cleaning up the environment. On April 16, together with organizations and institutions from the Buk-myeon area, they visited affected farms in Jipum-myeon, Yeongdeok County, to help with orchard maintenance and the demolition of completely burned warehouses.

Director Lee Seyong said, "We hope to bring comfort to Yeongdeok, a precious neighbor of Hanul Headquarters, and I am proud of the warm hearts of our employees who voluntarily participated in these volunteer activities. We will not stop here, but will continue our volunteer efforts so that we can become a small stepping stone for residents to regain hope."
