According to Seogu District on the 23rd, the Atopy and Asthma Safe School project is a prevention and management initiative that supports children with allergic diseases such as atopic dermatitis, asthma, and rhinitis so they can live healthily in schools and childcare institutions.

The district plans to focus on early response to allergic diseases and the creation of a healthy growth environment through this project. On this day, at Deulbul Hall in Seogu District Office, the district held an information session and lecture for more than 50 health and childcare teachers from the designated Safe Schools, sharing the purpose and direction of the project.

At the training, Professor Yang Hyungchae from Chonnam National University Hospital gave a lecture on "Understanding and Managing Allergic Rhinitis," emphasizing the importance of early treatment and immune management.

The district will provide specialized teacher training in May (at Chonnam National University Hospital), conduct a survey on the prevalence of allergic diseases among children by May, run a puppet show related to rhinitis in June and July, and offer a storytelling program for prevention and management in September. These activities are designed to help children better understand allergic diseases and manage them independently. In October, the district plans to review the operation of the Safe Schools to assess the effectiveness of the project.

Kim Ikang, head of Seogu District, said, "The health and happiness of children are the most valuable assets of our community," and added, "We will establish a thorough prevention and management system for allergic diseases centered on Safe Schools, creating a safe educational environment where both children and parents can feel secure."
