On April 23, the district announced that it will hold a public hearing regarding the 'New Village' development project at the Usan-dong Administrative Welfare Center on April 30.
During this public hearing, the district will explain the designation of the urban regeneration activation area and the proposed plans, and residents and experts will discuss the direction of the project together. The district plans to refine the detailed plans based on the opinions presented at the public hearing and will begin full-scale implementation of the project. Previously, the district was selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's New Village project in 2024 and secured 9.8 billion KRW in national funding. A total of 19.6 billion KRW will be invested by 2029 to improve school routes and create community spaces for residents, as part of efforts to enhance the residential environment.
A district official stated, "We will reflect a wide range of opinions to ensure that the urban regeneration project is effective."
