Wild Vegetable Harvesting Experience and Bibimbap Performance
at Jangseong Lake Tourist Site and Danjeon-ri Area on April 26-27
A village festival celebrating the history and nature of wild vegetable-producing regions will be held in Bukha-myeon, Jangseong County, South Jeolla Province. The 1st Wild Vegetable Festival Under the Northern Sky will take place on April 26 and 27 at the Jangseong Lake Tourist Site and throughout the Danjeon-ri area.
According to Jangseong County on April 23, this festival is a modest local event prepared directly by residents, highlighting the identity of Bukha-myeon. Various cultural events are planned, including a Korean traditional music performance, a singing contest, and a stage featuring guest singers. Notably, a bibimbap performance serving 741 portions and a wild vegetable harvesting experience await the participation of visitors.
The wild vegetable harvesting experience will be held for one day only, on April 26. Visitors will have the opportunity to pick wild vegetables themselves and take them home. This event takes place in wild vegetable fields cultivated by Bukha-myeon residents, offering a chance to experience the pristine nature of the area.
Kim Hanjong, the county governor, said, "We hope this festival, carefully prepared by local residents, will showcase the charm of Bukha-myeon and lead to increased tourism."
