This meeting was attended by internal and external council members, including representatives from the National Health Insurance Service Uijeongbu Branch, Uijeongbu City Hall Senior Welfare Division, Uijeongbu Public Health Center Health Promotion Division, Uijeongbu Heungseon-dong Administrative Welfare Center, and the Uijeongbu Home-based Long-term Care Institution Association.
The meeting focused on discussing ways to address the gaps in medical and care services for Gyeonggi residents who have difficulty moving and therefore face challenges in receiving hospital treatment, as well as providing more integrated care services. In particular, the main agenda items included establishing a local community resource linkage system, supporting medically vulnerable groups, and seeking ways to promote each participating institution.
The "Visiting Gyeonggi Care Medical Center" project provides convenient medical services to Uijeongbu residents who have difficulty moving or visiting the hospital, and is available to all residents of Uijeongbu. In this project, doctors, nurses, and social workers from Uijeongbu Hospital form a multidisciplinary team to visit patients' homes directly, provide medical consultations, nursing services, and connect them with necessary welfare services, while also monitoring and managing each case.
Lee Inyoung, Director of Uijeongbu Hospital, requested active promotion and cooperation from related community organizations so that all local residents can access home visit medical services and gaps in medical care can be addressed. Participating institutions of the council agreed to continue providing various opinions and actively cooperate in linking projects and promotional activities for the development of the "Visiting Gyeonggi Care Medical Center" program.
Uijeongbu Hospital plans to strengthen communication among local community organizations and explore various cooperation measures through regular council meetings for the "Visiting Gyeonggi Care Medical Center."
