Proactive Measures to Prevent Electrical Accidents
"Safe and Eco-Friendly Residential Area for Citizens"
Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) announced on the 23rd that the Eco Delta City 19·20BL public housing construction site, which is currently underway, has received official certification for the "Grade 1 Electric Safety (Building)" from the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation.
The "Electric Safety (Building) Certification" is the final stage in which the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation comprehensively reviews the electrical facilities of a workplace before use and officially recognizes the building's safety and reliability.
After obtaining preliminary certification for the Eco Delta City 19·20BL site in November 2023, BMC earned the official Grade 1 certification in April this year by strengthening the inspection and maintenance of electrical facilities.
In particular, from the basic design stage, BMC has applied advanced electrical facilities to prevent electrical disasters and has proactively introduced cutting-edge electric safety technologies such as ▲ smart protection devices ▲ leakage detection and alarm systems ▲ real-time electrical facility monitoring systems.
With this official certification, BMC plans to continue creating an environment where residents can live with peace of mind, free from electrical accidents. In addition, BMC aims to reduce energy consumption and management costs by applying high-efficiency LED lighting fixtures and renewable energy facilities.
Including the Eco Delta City 19·20BL project, BMC is continuously pursuing official certification for other sites that have received preliminary certification, such as ▲ Happy Housing in front of City Hall (Complex 1) ▲ Ilgwang District 4BL Integrated Public Rental Housing. Along with previously certified sites such as ▲ Kumho Central Bay Happy Housing ▲ Happy Housing in front of City Hall (Complex 2), BMC is working to spread exemplary cases in the field of electrical safety.
Shin Changho, President of Busan Urban Corporation, stated, "We will continuously improve the quality and safety of electrical facilities to create a safe residential environment for our residents," and added, "We will actively expand the Electric Safety Building Certification to create public housing where citizens can live with peace of mind."
