Inno-Biz Companies to Hold 'Inno-Biz IP Academy' with Korean Intellectual Property Office

A Total of Eight Sessions Including Regional Events

The Inno-Biz Association announced on April 23 that it will operate the '2025 Inno-Biz IP Academy' in cooperation with the Korean Intellectual Property Office starting next month.


The IP Academy has been established to strengthen the intellectual property utilization capabilities of innovative companies and to enhance their research and development (R&D) competitiveness. This year, the program will be expanded to eight sessions, including non-metropolitan regions such as Gangwon, Busan, Daejeon, and Chungbuk.

The training will consist of practical courses, including: compensation systems for employee inventions; patent information research and utilization; patent protection; trademark application practice; patent creation strategies; technology transfer and commercialization methods; and on-site patent mentoring. Participants who complete the program will receive a certificate issued by the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office. Additionally, special lectures for executives will be offered, covering topics such as expanding IP awareness, analyzing the latest technology trends and market changes by industry, and strategies for technology transfer and commercialization.


The first training session will be held on May 13 with a special lecture on 'IP-Based Business Management Strategies in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI),' followed by a comprehensive practical course on May 22 in Seoul and Incheon, respectively. Each session will accommodate approximately 30 participants, and applications can be submitted through the notice section on the Inno-Biz Association website.


An official from the Inno-Biz Association stated, "For technology-innovative Inno-Biz companies, intellectual property is the most important asset," adding, "We expect the IP Academy to enhance the patent and trademark capabilities of Inno-Biz companies and to serve as a starting point for strengthening R&D competitiveness."
