A Unique 3km Marathon with Color Powder on May 24

On May 24, the largest color running festival in the Busan-Gyeongnam region, the '2025 Color Race,' will be held in spectacular fashion at LetsRun Park Busan Gyeongnam.
The 'Color Race' is a unique marathon where participants wear white T-shirts and run through color zones featuring red, green, blue, and other colors, being covered in vibrant color powder (cornstarch) along the way. Unlike traditional races that focus on time records, this event allows everyone to enjoy DJing and dance performances, making it a running festival where all participants can have fun together.
As a global festival with a large international fanbase, it first began in the United States in 2012 and has since been held in more than 35 countries. The total number of participants has exceeded 6 million. In the Busan-Gyeongnam area, the event was first held at LetsRun Park Busan Gyeongnam in 2017, and this year marks its fifth edition. Notably, this year’s event will take place at the newly opened Lake Park within the racetrack, allowing participants to experience the beautiful natural scenery of Horse Island.
The Color Race will be held on a course of approximately 3 kilometers. The route connects LetsRun Park Eco Land, Derby Land, Horse Island, and Victor Village, linking only the hottest horse-themed spots. Participants can run freely while being showered with color powder at various color zones along the course. They can also enjoy a variety of activities and commemorative gifts at experience zones, photo zones, and brand-sponsored booths set up throughout the venue.
After the run with color powder, a lively EDM dance party led by a famous DJ will take place, along with celebratory performances by 'Cyburger,' a Psy impersonator known for his unique concept, and BewhY, a talented hip-hop artist who has set a new standard in Korean hip-hop. These performances are expected to further energize the participants. The event is anticipated to satisfy both the growing running trend and the festival trend, especially among people in their 20s and 30s.
All participants will receive a commemorative package including an event T-shirt, sunglasses, and color powder, and after completing the race, they will be provided with cool drinks and snacks such as biscuits. Registration for the 2025 Color Race is available through the official Color Race website, with a participation fee of 45,000 won. The event is limited to the first 5,000 registrants.
