Yeoju Urban Corporation Completes Supplementary Planting of Living Hedge at Ipobo Campground

Yeoju Urban Corporation in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 23rd that it recently completed supplementary planting of privet saplings in the living hedge section of the campground, following a tree-planting event held in celebration of Arbor Day. This initiative was carried out both to continue the momentum of expanding green spaces sparked by Arbor Day and as part of the corporation's efforts to realize ESG values focused on environmental preservation.

Through this project, additional privet saplings were planted in damaged or previously unplanted sections of the living hedge at the Ipobo Auto Campground, thereby enhancing the density and continuity of the hedge and improving the overall landscaping quality.

The planted privet is an evergreen species that maintains green leaves throughout the year, is resistant to pests and diseases, and is easy to manage. It is widely used as a landscaping tree suitable for living hedges. A professional landscaping company carried out the work over approximately two weeks, including site maintenance and compost application as part of the pre-planting preparations, and a total of 2,350 saplings were additionally planted in the designated area.

Lim Myungjin, CEO of Yeoju Urban Corporation, stated, "With this supplementary planting, the campground boundary has become more organized and the environment has been improved to be more pleasant. We expect this will help enhance visitor convenience and protect their privacy," adding, "We will continue our efforts to create a nature-friendly campground environment through ongoing management and supplementary work."
