Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sanggeun) announced that Gamcheon Port users have compiled a 'Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)' booklet, which has been posted on the authority's official website.
Unlike the container-only terminals of North Port and New Port, Busan's Gamcheon Port handles a wide variety of cargo at each terminal facility, including frozen fish, cement·sand, and steel, resulting in frequent inquiries from users.
In response, the Gamcheon Office has created the 'Gamcheon Port Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)' booklet, which contains explanations and reference materials for commonly asked questions, in order to enhance user convenience and operational efficiency.
The 'Gamcheon Port Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)' was compiled by selecting frequently repeated inquiries based on a survey of Gamcheon Port users.
This FAQ booklet covers, in order: conditions for cost reductions when using repair shipyards; how to use barge mooring areas; addresses and locations of terminal entrances; and inquiries related to the use of Port-MIS (Port Management Information System).
The booklet is available on the Busan Port Authority website under Public Communication - Notices - News·Announcements. For user convenience, a current map of Gamcheon Port, showing the locations and facility codes of port facilities, is also being distributed.
Song Sanggeun, President of BPA, stated, "I hope that the Gamcheon Port FAQ booklet will help users resolve repeated inquiries at any time, thereby improving operational efficiency. We will continue to pursue various communication activities to further enhance user satisfaction."
