HS Hyosung Advanced Materials is presenting products such as recycled automotive carpets and auxiliary mats, recycled seat belts, and technology for separating discarded airbags. The recycled carpets and auxiliary mats on display are products with a threefold increase in recycled material content compared to previous versions, which the company says can reduce carbon emissions by approximately 34%. To promote its eco-friendly products, the company is also exhibiting tire cords made from recycled polyester and displaying tire cross-sections that use recycled materials.
The company is also introducing its regeneration technologies. These include a "circular regeneration system" that transforms discarded seat belts into new ones, and a system that regenerates used airbags by separating their coating layer and applying depolymerization (chemical decomposition) technology.
Im Jindal, CEO of HS Hyosung Advanced Materials, stated, "It is meaningful to share our efforts and achievements in developing eco-friendly technologies through this exhibition," adding, "We will continue to accelerate the development of sustainable mobility material technologies for future generations."
